President Danilo Medina of the Dominican Republic has ignored our long-term partnership, the wishes of the people of the Dominican Republic, and the years of development assistance provided by Taiwan, to accept false promises of investment and aid by (mainland) China.

What It Means

This is a placeholder explanation generated by the low-overhead model. It interprets "President Danilo Medina of the Dominican Republic has ignored our long-term partnership, the wishes of the people of the Dominican Republic, and the years of development assistance provided by Taiwan, to accept false promises of investment and aid by (mainland) China." in the context of "Joseph Wu (2018) cited in "Taiwan says China dangled $3 billion to grab ally Dominican Republic" on Reuters, 1 May 2018." to mean that wisdom is timeless.
